Jumpstart Program

About

This innovative program is to support ESL Students (English Language Learners) to transition to college coursework successfully.  In Jumpstart, students take college level coursework in a cohort setting:

Sample Schedule:

Class Day Time
English 91 Monday-Friday 9:00  - 9:50 a.m.
Reading 91 Tuesday/Thursday 11:00 - 11:50 a.m.
Jumpstart 100 (ESL Support) Monday - Thursday 12:15 - 1:20 p.m.

Application Process:  The deadline for Winter 2018 is Saturday, November 18 at 3:00 p.m.

  • Complete the application online or on paper. 
    • Click here to go to the Online Application.

       

      • The Application process has 4 steps

        • Write your letter on a Word Doc or Google Doc. (Outlines are available in Building 19)

        • Apply online and attach your letter.

        • Request a Recommendation from your Instructor. Click here for the Teacher Recommendation Form you can download and print. You can also pick up a Teacher Recommendation form in Building 19.

        • If you are selected, you will be requested to come in for an interview. You should check your student email regularly.
